    The first 28 pages are all on basic genetics which is all you need to know to help work out what a pair of parrots could produce, Plenty of examples and little self-test questions with answers.  The many pictures will help you understand the genetics and how the mutation manifests in parrot species.

    The rest of the book is based on the how, and why colours do what they do to feathers, without all the big science gargan added. Plenty of pictures of various species from all over the world to help identify the mutations, tables with the most commonly found, to date, mutations of the most popular pet species.
