So, the MUTAVI group was started to write about genetics, feathers, and colors in parrots. They also did some research on weird color patterns that nobody understood. They found out that working together with other bird lovers is super important to learn more about these mutations.

They also want to encourage people to do more research and find new bird varieties. And now that we have the internet, it's easier than ever to connect with bird lovers all over the world and share our knowledge!

The site has plenty of articles and genetic references regarding many parrot mutations.

Ornitho-Genetics vzw is an official independent non-profit organization that concentrates on the research and study of color mutations, genetics, evolution taxonomy, and preservation of bird species. To support these research results, a worldwide collaboration has been set up
with experts, scientists, universities, and museums.

They always check their information against as many sources as possible and base it on the latest scientific findings and/or their research. The results of this research are published regularly, in books, on the internet, and in ornithology and scientific journals
